About The Role

The Role:
We’re seeking an accomplished Operations Manager to lead and inspire our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be accountable for operational performance across food safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and people. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and safety, while leading a high-performing, engaged team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the operations strategy to achieve best-in-class performance, aligned to business objectives.

  • Manage your manufacturing areas to ensure food safety, quality, legal compliance, and operational KPIs are met or exceeded.

  • Own and manage departmental budgets, delivering cost efficiencies and financial accountability.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, embedding Lean and CI culture across the team.

  • Develop and mentor a strong team of managers and operators, fostering a high-engagement, results-driven environment.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business-wide projects and operational improvements.

  • Represent the organisation on industry forums and associations, identifying trends and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in senior operational management within FMCG manufacturing.

  • Strong track record in leading continuous improvement initiatives and delivering operational KPIs (safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery).

  • Excellent people management skills, with experience leading multi-layered and multicultural teams.

  • Strong project management, analytical, and change management capabilities.

  • Knowledge of UK food safety, quality, and health & safety legislation.

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Operations Management.
