Warehouse Front Line Manager - Night Shift
Shift: Sunday- Thursday.
23:00pm-7:00am
Great warehouse operations do not stop when the day shift finishes—and neither does strong leadership.
We’re looking for a confident and engaging Warehouse Front Line Manager to lead our night-shift operation. You’ll manage and develop a team of Team Leaders, Warehouse Operatives and Administrators, ensuring goods move safely, accurately, and efficiently throughout our busy food-manufacturing site.
This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys bringing people together, solving problems and creating a positive, high-performing workplace.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading, motivating and developing your night-shift team through clear direction, coaching and regular feedback
- Managing warehouse activity to achieve targets for safety, service, quality, productivity and cost
- Delivering effective shift briefings, operational handovers and performance updates
- Ensuring stock movements and inventory processes are completed accurately and right first time
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, health and safety, housekeeping and audit readiness
- Overseeing the safe use of material-handling equipment, including pre-shift checks, defect reporting and VOR procedures
- Planning labour requirements and working with our approved agency partners when additional support is needed
- Managing attendance, performance, training and development fairly and consistently
- Working closely with colleagues across Supply Chain, Operations, and the wider business
- Identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve the way we work
What you’ll bring?
You’ll have experience leading a team in a warehouse environment and understand how to balance people, performance and operational priorities. You’ll be comfortable making decisions, addressing challenges constructively and maintaining standards during a busy shift.
We’re also looking for:
- At least two years’ experience at Team Leader level or above within a warehouse environment
- A practical understanding of warehouse management systems and stock-control processes
- Strong communication, organisation, and planning skills
- A positive coaching style and a genuine interest in developing others
- Confidence using operational information and KPIs to improve performance
- A proactive and solution-focused approach
- The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and decisive in a fast-moving environment
- A strong commitment to safe working practices
Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, distribution or logistics would be beneficial, but we’re equally interested in your leadership capability and the contribution you can make.
