About The Role

People are our greatest asset and the HR Team at Whitworths are looking for an HR Administrator to support us in the work we accomplish to deliver this ethos.

Working in HR is busy, and no day is the same.  We are the touchpoint for anyone in the business, and of course also for anyone outside of the business that we are recruiting and onboarding.  Whoever it is, we want them to know that Whitworths is a great place to work.

Your role starts with a welcome to anyone coming into the office or joining the company, either operating a 1st line/2nd line query resolution approach or taking our new hires through their onboarding and induction.   Then its eyes on the internal as you update our HRIS and share important information with managers to help them manage their new starters.

There is the usual admin you would expect, correspondence to be created and filed, sharing information with payroll, keeping our organogram up to date, running reports and sharing insights, updating our electronic training files and monitoring our HR inbox.   (Not an exhaustive list).  We have a creative side too, with our onsite communications and posters, our booklets and our guides, and we are the owners of our employee engagement events and opportunities.

To succeed you need to be very organised, able to prioritise your work to meet customer expectations and SLA’s, diligently ensuring that the attention to detail is always there to produce error free work.

The HR office is a busy, thriving hub, and so the ability to be able to concentrate in this environment is key.  No two days are the same, and we do respond to what is happening in the business, meaning that we all have to be really adaptable and flexible with our planned work, putting that to one side, to pick up another priority.   If you can spin many plates, and enjoy the variety this brings, then we really want to talk to you.

As a professional (or qualified) HR Administrator, once you know the way we do things, you will fly, working autonomously and with the broader team as we all pull together to ensure that the HR team at Whitworths delivers.   Naturally you will be used to working with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams, and have an understanding of the core HR internal processes.

To support ongoing development, we would ideally like this to be a full time role, however, we can be somewhat flexible. The contract will be for a 12 month period. If you feel this is right for you, please get in touch.

You will receive a competitive salary, 33 days holiday, a workplace pension, and in addition, you’ll also have access to a number of family friendly, health and lifestyle benefits.
