About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to lead our small, talented IT/IS team. In this hands-on role, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing application support, with a focus on maintaining and optimizing our business-critical software systems. A key part of the role will involve managing user support, coordinating upgrades, resolving application issues, and ensuring system reliability. Knowledge of IFS or similar ERP systems would be a strong advantage, as you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to align application functionality with business processes, while also contributing to broader IT operations and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Support: Experience of all aspects of application support including an ERP system, ideally IFS.
- Management: A proven record in IT management
- Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards including GDPR and the Data Controller responsibilities.
- Master Data Management: Maintain high standards of data governance and information accuracy.
- Project Management: Lead key initiatives, including a major role in the transition of our on prem IFS system to a new cloud platform.
- Collaboration with Business Analysts: Work closely with business analysts to deliver accurate reports that enable informed decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong judgment and decisiveness in handling onsite IT challenges.
- Hands-on experience with application support,
- Knowledge of Qlik or similar reporting technologies.
- A deep understanding of master data, technical management, and information analysis.
- A collaborative approach to supporting cross-functional teams.
- Availability for on-call, out-of-hours support (24/7 1 week in 5).
- An understanding of IT infrastructure would be a bonus
