Job Title: Inventory Team Leader
Salary: based on experience up to £30,000

We are a leading food manufacturing business committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Inventory Team Leader to join our dynamic team.
As an Inventory Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory-related operations to ensure efficient stock control, accurate reporting, and compliance with food safety standards. You will lead a team, working collaboratively with production, warehouse, and supply chain departments to maintain optimal inventory levels and support operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day inventory management process, ensuring stock accuracy and availability.
- Lead and supervise the inventory team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Conduct regular stock checks, audits, and cycle counts to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards in inventory management.
- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to streamline stock movement and minimise waste.
- Use inventory management systems (IFS) to track stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
- Analyse inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to forecast stock requirements and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Implement and maintain best practices for inventory control and stock rotation.
- Address and resolve any inventory-related issues in a timely manner.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in an inventory management or stock control role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong understanding of stock control processes, inventory systems, and best practices.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and industry compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
