About The Role

Are you an experienced Project Manager, working within FMCG, your focus being NPD and EPD? Do you understand how to take customer concepts through to on shelf products, whether that be the product itself, or new innovation in packaging?

At Whitworths, we are on a mission to support the nation in improving its eating habits by adding a little bit of what is good for you to every meal occasion, and we are looking for a Senior NPD Project Manager to lead our brand NPD and our customers projects whether that be through product or packaging innovation.

Working with the top retailers, you will determine the NPD and EPD projects, across yours and your teams customer base, using our CREATE model.  You will then need to lead your team and work with a number of internal departments, using the gate process (that you are the owner of), to deliver these projects on time, to cost.

At Whitworths, this is an incredibly exciting time to join our business.  We are mid relaunch of our brand, and we are driving category growth through our thought leadership.  We are not just shaking up the category, there is more to come as we challenge the role of our product range to support the nation's health.

Our successful candidate will have a Project Management qualification as well as extensive experience leading NPD projects within food manufacturing.  You will be fully conversant with customer specific launch processes and understanding of their systems including their customer artwork systems for approval of new packaging.  Naturally, you are planned and organised and have a suite of PM tools that you use consistently and effectively and will encourage others to do so.  You know the importance of cross functional support to deliver projects and have a track record demonstrating you can lead, motivate, and influence at all levels within a project.

Why come and work at Whitworths?  There are obviously many other reasons to come and work with us, but the biggest reason is so that you have a job you love and a company you are proud to say you work for. You will receive a competitive salary, 33 days holiday, a workplace pension, and in addition, you’ll also have access to a number of family friendly, health and lifestyle benefits. Culturally, we believe strongly in investing in our people, developing them in role and their careers within Whitworths. Don't just take our word for it, our people say the same, as demonstrated by our accreditation from Investors In People.

If you want to work for a company with drive and ambition, a great future ahead and with a mission that is putting health at the heart of what we do, and you believe you have the skills and experience required to join the Whitworth’s family then click ‘apply’ now! We look forward to receiving your application.
