Job Title: Shift Engineer
Shift: Night Shift- 3 nights on, 4 nights off
Salary: Competitive, plus opportunity to work overtime
Job purpose:
To provide a full engineering support service to all areas of the business aiming to minimise machine and equipment downtime and maximise preventative maintenance.
Key focus areas:
- Minimise machine downtime
- Prevent manufacturing lost time
- Achievement of the Preventative Maintenance Plan
- To be audit ready at all times – relevant paperwork and quality audits completed
- To be generating continuous improvement ideas
Engineering operates a 24/6 cover, working on 3 nights on, 4 nights off rota with Banked hours principle. We are currently looking for a night shift engineer.
We are looking for someone who will complement the team with a balance of skills and experience:
- Experience of working as a Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating an understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably food processing.
- Experience working with manufacturing systems; related controls and instrumentation systems
- Experience of process, packaging and service equipment
The ideal candidate will be working towards or already have the following qualifications:
- BTECH/ONC qualification as a minimum in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline or Multi skilled engineering qualification or C&G 2330 Level 3 Electro – technical certificate combined with NVQ 3 Electrical Maintenance
- Time served apprentice
- Multi-skilled Engineer
- HNC level in electrical, mechanical or production maintenance engineering
